Fruit hailing from a 30 year old vineyard nestled in Coldstream. Similar to the 2022 Pinot Noir, these grapes spent 2 weeks on skins with 20% whole bunch for fermentation, it was pressed straight to barrel with no new oak. This is a wine that is cuisine friendly, its fragrance and red fruit characteristics make it a great ‘drinkers’ wine.
This is the only wine production from the 2023 vintage for bicknellfc.
‘From a vineyard in Coldstream. Hand picked and optically sorted. Two weeks in open fermenters before being pressed to older barriques and puncheons; 20% whole bunches. A luminous crimson purple. Fragrant and spicy with red cherry and raspberry fruit aromas. Light to medium bodied and quite delicious straight off the bat, this is an excellent addition to the Bicknell FC range.’
